On the 9th, we all travelled south the the US state of Montana. Our destination was Whitefish. After a unique and humour filled visit to the US border customs offices, where we were “interrogated” (filled out some forms) by an aloof customs officer who clearly enjoyed entertaining Australians. Teeny somehow sweet-talked the officer into giving us wicked Elk stamps in our passports (I know you’re jealous). Today we left Missoula and headed back towards Whitefish for our Thanksgiving feast. On our way we took the mountain road and headed towards Glacier National Park.
On Monday the 25th of November we start our three month journey to Canada. After one long flight and two short flights on a twin tail engine plane we finally touched down in a small town called Kallispell in Montana.
Flying over America really gives you a good perspective of the geography. From the plane, we flew over prairies, plains, lakes and mountains, most of which were snow capped. I squealed with delight at the sight of the white snow. Continue reading
